Uganda is one of the poorest countries in the world; the World Bank says the country still faces widespread deprivation in several non-monetary dimensions of poverty including education and proper nutrition. Because of this, River City Christian has partnered with Divine Wisdom Junior School in Kamuli District, Uganda to create a child sponsorship program. Currently, we are providing education, daily meals, school uniforms, loving teachers and books to 512 students. These students, many of who are orphans or come from at-risk families, now hear the Gospel daily, receive education, and experience life purpose in Christ.
